How to set up a Workbench 1.3 hard disk - Introduction & Requirements

Introduction:

In this guide I will show you two methods of how to set up a Workbench 1.3 hard disk.

Method 1 will show you how to set up a Workbench 1.3 hard disk using a windows directory.

Method 2 will show you how to set up a Workbench 1.3 hard disk using a Hard Disk File (aka HDF.)

This is what you will require to follow Paul's guide!

• A copy of WinUAE from Emulators Downloads
   
• The Workbench 1.3 in ADF format. - You can either transfer and convert from the disk originally supplied with your Amiga or you can buy it from http://www.cloanto.com/amiga/forever/
  If you legally own this disk of Workbench 1.3 then you could search google for them.
   
• A 1.3 Kick-Start ROM Image. - You can either use the ROM from your Amiga 500 or buy it from http://www.cloanto.com/amiga/forever/

Have all that? Then Lets Begin!

For Method 2:

• A 2.x Kick-Start ROM Image. - You can either use the ROM from your Amiga 500Plus/600 (if you have one) or buy it from http://www.cloanto.com/amiga/forever/
  Or
   
• A blank pre-formatted HDF from Here if you do not have a Kick-Start 2 ROM
